I am a recycling nut. You will often find me proudly toting around my Harris Teeter reusable bag everywhere I go. Since I have discovered them I am free of the million plastic bags from random stores that consume my house. They don't recycle at work (yet--working on it!) and I often take a bunch of stuff home to put in my bucket. I try and take all recyclable items home from church so we don't add to the mess.
It really bothers me too when people don't recycle. 'Comon how hard is it to throw your soda can, milk jug, or the million political ads in another bucket? If you try it for just a week you will realize how less often you have to carry out the trash and how much stuff can be recycled!
We need to take care of this planet for our future and the future of our planet for our kids and it is not rocket science!! Most communities pick it up at your driveway. The environment is going downhill, but your response to changing it is your responsibility!!
Just my two cents :-) On the other hand Elvis has a new love of my Harris Teeter bags as his new sleeping bag. I have now learned that they can be washed in the washing machine.

I can't agree with you more on how important recycling is. I love my reusable grocery bags also. Oh, and Lowes Home Improvement now carry them too. They are nice with longer handles then the ones from the grocery stores. Po brought one home for me and it's the first one that I grab. I would assume that the G'ville stores have them.
That is too cute. If I leave my bags around 3 or my 4 furbabies will get in them too.
HT triples here we come with out reusable bags.
